Large-scale Russian Strikes Cut Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have come under increased strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while local people in the city's east were experienced blackouts and dealt with interruptions to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was fatally injured in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has intensified attacks on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while officials has demanded "real steps" from partner nations to apply pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in supplying air defence systems and implementing restrictions," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were striving to restore power.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people injured in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area came under significant strikes throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child died and three other people were wounded.

The attacks follow evenings of aerial attacks in the territory, portions of which remain under the control of invading troops.

All of Ukraine is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to detect.

Government officials told the media that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
